This is an exciting entry level role in the Home Office working within Immigration Enforcement. Immigration Enforcement has overall responsibility for the removal of Foreign National Offenders (FNOs). This is an office based role working behind the scenes on the deportation of FNOs who commit criminal offences in the UK or overseas.

FNO Returns Command’s objective is to protect the public by deporting or removing FNOs who commit criminal offences, in adherence to legislation, and to actively monitor and manage FNOs released into the community pending deportation. We do this by rigorously, but carefully, pursuing deportation against foreign offenders who have committed criminal offences, managing each case through the legal process, negotiating barriers and ensuring that the use of immigration detention is appropriate.

The role requires flexibility, with the primary focus being the progression and allocation of foreign national offender cases to the wider Command.

This is an operational role based in Lunar House, Croydon. This role is available in an environment with flexible working options such hybrid working.

**Person specification**:
This is an exciting opportunity in the Intake and Triage Team, within the FNO Returns Command. Intake and Triage are the first point of referral for stakeholders to refer across individuals identified with a criminal history in the UK. The primary source of referrals is Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). Your role in the team will be to progress referrals to conclusion; allocating the deportation case to a Foreign National Offender Returns Command (FNORC) case working unit. The decisions made in Intake and Triage can change lives.

Typically, your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Managing the initiation of cases into the deportation process, clarifying facts, establishing, and communicating next steps and updating Home Office systems; data entry of new cases requiring deportation consideration.
- Working closely across teams within FNORC to ensure that all cases are progressed quickly and correctly to the proper outcome.
- Linking with other teams to locate and complete travel documentation and request status interviews.
- Preparing and serving deportation paperwork.
- Requesting court documents, risk assessments and appeal checks.
- Maintaining of spreadsheets and Home Office databases.
- Providing information to managers including performance data.
- Assisting within the wider area as required, deploying in line with business need.

**Essential Criteria**
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel).
- Flexible and has the ability to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues in delivering excellent service.
