At eConsult our mission is to transform the way that healthcare is delivered. We believe that our National Health Service should thrive. Our products are clinically led and have been designed to enable our client practices to deliver safe and effective triaging. We are proud to say our products are widely adopted; eConsult is used in over 3,000 practices in the United Kingdom and growing fast. We are now shifting our growth focus into a hospital setting, with related digital triage products in both A&E and outpatients. Beyond that, we have an emerging strategy to take the platform overseas.
**Role Summary**
As a Senior product / interaction Designer at eConsult, you will work on products that deliver positive, inclusive and secure experiences to patients, clinicians and healthcare staff.
You will work closely with our UX researchers, product managers and engineering team to ensure our products are beautifully crafted, modern and fully accessible by a broad range of users (including those with disabilities) on a range of channels and devices.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Create sketches, designs and fully interactive prototypes of new features and experiences for our suite of healthcare products (we use Figma).
- Lead UX activities such as design sprints and user workshops.
- Help create a roadmap and processes to develop and maintain our design system in order to create a visually cohesive and ergonomic experience across all our products.
- Run design critiques and review the work of designer colleagues to ensure they adhere to our standards
- Design engaging, accessible and friction-reducing UI animations and transitions, and help turn those into a set of motion guidelines integrated into the design system.
**You’re right for this role if**:
- You can show us a portfolio of complex flows and UI interactions for products and apps
- You can evidence applied knowledge of design craftsmanship
- You know enough code to illustrate your interaction ideas (or you use tools like Framer)
- You’ve worked closely and successfully with technical teams and have used collaboration and handover tools (we use Storybook)
- You’ve worked in Agile product teams
- You have experience mentoring more junior team members in design best practice
- You can present your ideas and can demonstrate clear experience of explaining your thinking to other teams and stakeholders in the business
**You’re probably not right for this role if**:
- You primarily designed simple websites and web portals rather than products and services
- You’re a UX generalist
- You don’t have experience working with cross-functional product teams
