Explore Learning is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our payroll team as a Payroll Administrator. You’ll be instrumental in the processing of the 2 monthly in-house payrolls, providing support to our staff and supporting the Payroll Manager in day-to-day payroll tasks. The role is varied and will include communication with internal departments and employees with other aspects including reporting and general payroll queries.

**Person Specification**:

- Minimum 12 months payroll experience (24 months desirable)
- Experience in running multiple payroll cycles
- To have a proven understanding of payroll policies and procedures
- To be an outstanding communicator and collaborator
- High attention to detail
- Strong professional standards
- To be resilient with a can-do attitude
- Continuously striving for excellence
- To have excellent organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills and willing to make a positive contribution to the company’s culture
- To hold a recognised payroll qualification (desirable, but not essential)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supporting with the running of the monthly payroll, ensuring that the salaried and variable pay cycles are completed to the highest accuracy and all processing is finalised by our monthly deadlines
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory tasks
- Filing key documents accurately whilst always maintaining data confidentiality
- Supporting with the running of the monthly payroll
- Distribution of monthly P45s
- Running general employee data reports and uploading high volumes of data into payroll system
- Performance of any other duties reasonably required by the Payroll Manager

**Location**: Home-based with proximity to Guildford

**Salary**: £26,000 - £28,000 based on experience

**Contract**: full time
