This is a truly interesting role as it offers variety. Primarily, this role is to support the Head of Legal & Governance, but you will also be supporting the Country Manager with diary management and the Local Leadership team with anything from expenses, travel arrangements and arranging external meetings.

**Key Accountabilities**:
- Setting and circulating agendas for the Governance Committee meetings, ensuring the meetings take place, collating ‘Governance packs’ and taking and issuing minutes.
- Maintaining central records of all committee and governance-related documents, ensuring there are clear, accurate and accessible records available.
- Ensuring that actions arising from governance committees are completed by actions owners in a timely manner
- Providing ad hoc secretarial support and cover to other government forums on an ad
- hoc basis as required.
- Raising PO/Invoices for external legal costs
- Providing support to Branch and Sourcing Teams in contact/agreement signing governance processes
- Diary management is a large part of this role and requires an awareness of upcoming priorities for the Country Manager as well as the Local Leadership Team.
- Organising the Local Leadership Team ‘off-site’ events
- Attending all the Governance Committees
- Being the bank-wide contact for services including travel and event management and internal catering.
**What will you bring to the role**:
- **Excellent written and spoken language skills**:
- Your role will involve contact with people at all levels of the organisation, so you’ll need to be a confident communicator.
- Minute-taking is a large part of the role and you will need to be able to reproduce accurately the key elements of complex conversations under pressure in meetings with multiple participants
- You will need to be able to produce clear, grammatically correct and well-presented written work
- **Strong interpersonal skills**: You will enjoy forging strong internal and external relationships across the branch and champion the values of the Governance function.
- **Confidentiality**: The nature of this role means you will hear and see sensitive information so it is vital that you fully understand, and are committed to maintaining, absolute confidentiality
- **Strong organisational skills**: You will be managing a range of tasks, so organisation and the ability to plan ahead and prioritise is vital
- **Flexibility**: The ability to meet any immediate needs of the Local Leadership Team, this may require being contactable outside of working hours from time to time, including weekend
**Academic and/or professional qualifications**
- Essential:_
- GCSE/’A’ level English or able to demonstrate equivalent ability
- A secretarial qualification, legal diploma/compliance qualification, or previous hands-on experience in either field
- Desirable/useful_:
- Legal/compliance department experience
- Experience of working in a regulated environment
