Manage and respond to enquiries for information, including from solicitors and police for information requests, ensuring confidentiality is maintained and statutory timescales are met, in line with the Data Protection legislation including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

To provide administrative support to the Information Governance (IG) and Compliance Team and IM&T Department.

To provide Registration Authority support to the Trust, ensuring access rights are revoked in a timely manner for leavers.

Produce weekly statistical returns on key performance indicators for IG related work-streams using Microsoft Office.

Reporting to the Assistant Information Governance Compliance Manager, the successful individual will have experience gained in an Information Governance role, ideally within the NHS.

You will work within the Information Governance Team managing requests for information and will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of the main provisions of the UK General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act.

You will need to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team and will need to possess good interpersonal skills as you will be required to communicate with all levels of staff and the general public. You will have a good standard of general education and have good attention to detail. As the work is governed by strict deadlines, you will be able to organise your own workload to ensure these are met.

Experience of using Microsoft packages is essential, in particular Word and Excel.

The role is based within the Information Governance and Compliance Team, a sub team of the IM&T Department. This is a home based role with regular online meetings to ensure the team do not feel isolated.

The role entails managing requests for information from various sources including solicitors, police and other third parties. This involves working with an eye for detail and to tight timescales.

In addition, the post holder will have responsibility for ensuring that access to systems via the NHS Smartcard is revoked when necessary e.g. for staff leaving the Trust.
