**Role Overview**

We are looking for someone dynamic self
- driven, professional and personable to join our Business Development Team.

Experience in an insurance or telephone/customer service work would be an advantage.

Will be an office based role.

**Who are we?**

We are a Chartered MGA, with Lloyd's Broker status looking to recruit a motivated Apprentice to join our team. We specialise in non-standard property insurance and have an excellent long-standing reputation.

The role involves:
Supporting the Business Development team by performing all administrative tasks

Issuing documents to Clients and Brokers

Calling Brokers to get updates on quotes

You will need to be self
- motivated and driven to succeed. We are looking for a good communicator. Previous telephone or customer service experience will be beneficial but we will support you with training on all aspects including telephone techniques, and our range of different Property Insurance policies, as well as the opportunity to study for professional qualifications through the CII as part of your apprenticeship.

This represents an excellent opportunity to start a career in the insurance industry with in a small, friendly office, of a highly technical office that can give opportunities to progress in to roles in Business development, Business support and Property Underwriting.

**Job Purpose**
- To support the Business Development team by performing all administrative tasks.
- Provide a reliable admin function to ensure the smooth running of this function of the business.
- Be responsible for fulfilment and issuing of documents.

**Key Result Areas**
- Assist the unit in ensuring all daily work tasks are completed within the usual time frames.
- Support colleagues by providing assistance with day to day work while learning new processes and procedures.
- Develop an understanding of the policy cover for the entire magenta product suite.
- Issuing all new business documents within company guidelines.
- Creating client document packs from printed documentation ready to be issued.
- Complete quote chasing process to ensure conversion is as high as possible and clients and Brokers are aware of their cover
Frank and prepare documents for posting
- Field incoming phone calls to the Business Development Business area, identify which calls can be resolved, and which need to be passed on to an underwriter.
- Deliver excellent customer service to clients / IFAs and Brokers throughout.
- Making contact with clients who pay annually to collect their premiums and secure the business.
- Be proactive in considering the departments processes and in highlighting any need for change/development.

**Skills and Competencies**
- Excellent communication skills over the telephone and in writing
- Planning, organisational and time-management skills
- Willingly provides help and support for others
- Eye for detail with accurate data entry and typing skills
- Computer literate

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade A-C, preferably including English and Maths

**Technical Experience**
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an Insurance role is preferred
- Property insurance experience a preference but not essential
- Solid understanding of office administration
- Experience with taking phone calls
