**The Company**:
A local business, successful in their field, is looking for an Accounts Executive to join their Finance function.

**The Role**:
As a senior role, as the Financial Controller you will oversee all finance and administration functions for the Group and ensure that all accounting records and that every reported result complies with accounting standards and legislation, main tasks willinclude: -- Coordinating and managing the preparation of budget and financial forecasts, preparing monthly statements and other regular financial reports
- Ensuring the finance and admin team operates with a robust control environment and being the go-to contact for all external auditors.
- Management of all day to day finance and admin operations - including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cashiering, Purchasing and Funding Services
- Ensuing team training and development programs are in place for new and existing staff
- Assist the Finance Director in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members
- Ensure reporting complies with professional and legal standards including statutory law and financial regulations.
- Coordinating the preparation of budget and financial forecasting and reporting any variances. Responsibility and control of the VAT processing both domestic and overseas, and reporting to HMRC and other Vat bodies for the Group
- Management of the Payroll function and responsible for PAYE reporting
- Documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
- Manage process re-engineering to improve effectiveness and efficiency of all finance processes and to enhance internal controls and risk management.
- Support the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW ideally
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge including accounting standards
- Analytical, numerate, and comfortable with complex calculations.
