**Controls Engineer - Gatwick Airport**

Are you a qualified Engineering professional with experience of working in a fast-paced operational environment looking to Grow with Gatwick?

**What is the role?**

We currently have an opportunity for a Controls Engineer to join our Engineering team to support the baggage handling and control system throughout the product lifecycle from new equipment requirements, integration and validation through to in service supportand obsolescence management. With no two days the same, the Controls Engineer is pivotal in delivering a high performing and reliable system.

**What will you do?**
- Undertake PLC code changes
- Pro-actively undertake and support performance improvement activities
- Lead failure investigations associated with the baggage system
- Deliver 2nd line baggage control support to shift teams
- Project management of minor improvement projects
- Ensure project requirements are understood and that the design implementation meets the requirements
- Pro-actively undertake and support performance improvement activities/programmes

**Do you have what we're looking for?**
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering
- Working knowledge and understanding of the following technologies:

- Siemens S5
- Siemens S7
- Siemens TIA
- Profibus,
- ProfiNet,
- ASi,
- Ethernet TCP/IP
- Siemens WinCC SCADA
- HMI Touch Screen
- Previous experience of making minor PLC code changes
- Understanding of IT infrastructure
- Understanding of configuration control servers for maintenance of software/documentation
