The Talent Acquisition Team sits within the broader Human Resource function. Our aim as a team is to attract and develop key talent across all levels of the business.
The purpose of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is to manage the full recruitment cycle for your allocated portfolio of business areas, whilst providing support as required to the HR Team to ensure Davies fulfils its obligations under employment, health & safety, and compliance legislation.
**Supporting the recruitment strategy**
- Support TABP on the execution of the business’s recruitment strategy across all areas of the business including senior leaders
- Engage effectively with all stakeholders in resource planning process, adding real value to the business
- Support recruitment budge and headcount approval process with a focus on direct sourcing from a competitive market
**Attract and source top talent**
- Work alongside the marketing team to support the development engaging and creative recruitment campaigns
- Leverage the extensive digital, social media and physical channels available to you to create, drive and maintain our employee brand presence
- Own and drive your own sourcing methods to build and sustain a strong talent pipeline, optimising the numerous recruitment tools available to you
**Driving the recruitment process**
- Working closely with the management team to ensure the recruitment process runs as effectively and efficiently as possible, ensuring all stakeholder both internal and external receive a first-class recruitment experience
- Ensure best practice in the use of the recruitment processes and tools
- Be proactive and support all reporting and metric requests to ensure strategic approach kept within focus.
**Supporting recruitment relationships**
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders - business partners and suppliers
- Work closely with HR colleagues, Partners, Directors and Managers across the business to develop meaningful open and communicative relationships
- Provide coaching, mentoring and support to the junior members of the team
- Develop relationships with your HR and recruitment colleagues across Davies’s network to facilitate the sharing of best practices
**Key Accountabilities**
- Recruits for high volume, specialised and/or technical positions at entry - senior level
- Develops interview guides and other services for those involved in staffing.
- Engages hiring managers with superior consultation skills, using influence and expertise to recommend most effective methodology for bringing talent into the organization.
- Maintains procedures and methods for recruiting by studying the effect of market conditions on recruitment and identifying sources of local and national talent supply.
- Identifies, evaluates and recommends newest trends and tools available in recruiting technology to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the recruiting process.
- May include an emphasis on leadership positions at the manager and director level.
**Additional Job Functions**
- Takes lead on special projects, as required.
**Business Accountabilities**
- Recruits for a mix of positions for designated specialization to support Talent Acquisition department achievements.
- Maintains specialized professional networks to develop solid relationships and understanding of the business needs, market trends and innovation.
- Undertakes investigations and inspections of data, processes and practice in the recruitment process to identify potential or actual compliance issues and recommends appropriate action in the team.
**Performance Management Accountabilities**
- Model behaviours that demonstrate commitment to corporate values.
- Provide input into performance management discussions of project team members.
- Coach and provide technical advice and counsel within and outside operating unit.
Provide guidance and support for team members
Take action to manage own personal development and encourage others to do the same.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
**Required**
- Experience with recruiting technologies.
- 3 + years’ experience in either inhouse or agency recruiting
- Solid commercial acumen and knowledge of the recruitment market
- Proficiencies in the use of in-house recruitment management systems
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
- Ability to work under your own initiative
- Clear record of achievement and drive for continuous improvement
- Solution oriented approach and adaptability
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think creatively
