**Group Human Resources Advisor**

Patersons Quarries are an independent quarrying company based in Coatbridge, we have sites across the central belt of Scotland and supply a wide range of quarry products, readymix concrete, concrete blocks and concrete bricks. As part of our group, we also own and operate Gartsherrie Engineering Ltd, Patersons Waste Management, Palmaris Services, Stratiis IT & Route 74 Truckstop.

Reporting to our Transport/HR Director, you will be responsible for the successful day-to-day running of the whole HR function for the group, providing a legally sound, efficient HR service. You will be a reliable, knowledgeable, and experienced HR Advisor and be confident when working with employees throughout all levels of the business, up to and including Senior Management.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Advising on all HR related issues - grievances, absence management, disciplinary, investigation and employee relations.
- Conduct grievance investigations and disciplinary investigations, including writing reports and making recommendations for future action.
- Assist management with taking minutes at a variety of meetings.
- Annually review all Company Employee Handbooks, paperwork etc., ensuring legal compliance and determining areas of improvement.
- Work closely with the Health and Safety Department on annual employee health checks.
- Work closely with the Health and Safety Department on employee training requirements.
- Complete a monthly HR report for the Board of Directors - including stats on new employees, leavers, sickness absence etc.,
- Ensure that HR files are kept up to date with all requirement documentation (e.g., signed contracts, right to work in the UK).
- Work closely with the Payroll Department (weekly and monthly) to ensure that any required changes are implemented in a timely manner.

**Key Requirements**
- Experience in a busy HR Advisor role is a must.
- Multi-Site experience would be advantageous.
- Experience with Employee Relations matters (redundancies, disciplinary, grievances, performance management). TUPE would also be a ‘nice-to-have’.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional and appropriate manner.
- CIPD qualified or relevant on the job experience.
- Ability to regularly travel to all sites throughout the group.
