**Rail Operative 4 - Coatbridge**:
**Duties**: The role is key to ensuring all SPL worksites are planned, prepared and delivered safely. The Rail Operative will be the link between the operational planning, resource function and safe delivery of the safety critical and worksite management.
- Safe Delivery of Safety Critical duties.
- Ensure escalation, incident management and reporting is effective and timely.
- Lead Worksite Management activities.
- Support the Operation Planning team on the safe delivery of works.
- Perform site compound/ Worksite inspections.
- Collation of all information / evidence for reporting as dictated by the project requirements.
- Good stakeholder management with third party organisations.
- Provide on-site RM Cover and carry out project inductions and toolbox talks where required.
- Complete safety and compliance checks alongside the HSQE team as required.
- Attend whiteboard meetings and carry out site visits on planned works, accompanying supervisors and liaising with site staff to ensure the operational requirements are met.
- Work with the PC team to ensure all sites are secured with Safety Critical staff.
- Distribute relevant information to Third Party worksite for access via planning team.
- Assist as directed.

**The Person**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the rail industry and hold a minimum of ES & COSS with Track Handbook up to Level 4.
- Good IT skills
- Willingness to travel and to learn and open minded for new technologies.
- The ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team and support as required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Full driving licence
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- The ability to stay calm and meet deadlines.
- Basic Knowledge of various Rail Disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years Supervisory experience preferably within the rail industry.
- Valid PTS
- Valid ( Engineering Supervisor) ES competence
- Valid COSS competence
- Briefed as a Responsible Manager
- OLEC 1
- Valid First Aid at Work
- Knowledge or have held SSOW planner
- Track Hand back experience with portfolio of evidence and minimum Level 4 Hand back.
- Briefed to 019 Standards
- Experience in Railway Processes and Procedure.
- Conversant with Railway Legislations.
