Supply Chain Stores Operative

**Responsibilities**

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

- The primary task of this role is to operate Receipt and Despatch (R&D) facilities, including Forklift capability, to the Storeroom while also delivering one or more elements of Stores outputs such as receipt, custody, issue, accounting, handling, processing and administration of the Supply Chain account for all Stores ranges (e.g. General Naval, Weapons Electrical, Defence Accommodation Stores, Tri-service clothing, Naval Armament Stores), undertaking training for new requirements as they occur, for instance:

- Issue and maintain the EXPED clothing and equipment for leadership and adventurous training courses
- Issue and replenish Uniform and Specialist clothing
- Input, progress and maintain all unit departmental demands on the MJDI database for all MOD Supply Chain codified items
- Hold and operate a Government Procurement Card (GPC)
- Maintain the Permanent and Articles in Use Account, including RN Trophies
- Carry out stocktaking and ensure Compliance checks are completed correctly, including after actions as determined by Logistic Stores Manager and Supervisor
- Collate and present Key Performance Indicator (KPI) information, presenting supporting evidence
- Support the Supervisor in delivery of operational objectives, including administration and the use of IT systems
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, promoting customer service excellence
- Undertake Building Security responsibilities, including a duty lock-up routine
- Actively promote a safe working culture and adhere to the Health and Safety procedures, processes and the law
- Undertake other tasks as determined by the Mitie Line Manager including emerging requirements as the business need evolves. This could include support and cover for other Interserve personnel within the Fareham/Gosport/Portsmouth Area

A reliable and competent person with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Confident with good professional ability and demonstrable track record of delivering quality storekeeping and administration support and ability to work unsupervised. Self
- motivated and able to use own initiative, responsive to company and customer requirements, pro-active and versatile with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business. Ability to operate effectively with integrity at all levels, coupled with good written and numerical skills, and:

- Good organisational skills and experience of working to deadlines
- Effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible approach to accommodate changing requirements and priorities
- Good customer facing skills and the ability to develop close working relationships

**Additional Information**
- Achievement of MOD security clearance is required (Proof of Right to Work in UK essential)
- The contract operates a 37.5 hour working week between the hours of 0700 and 1700 Mon to Fri only.
- Required to wear approved company workwear and PPE
- Occasional local travel
- Undertake appropriate additional and departmental shadow training when required.
- Forklift Licence (essential - but training can be given).
- Driving Licence (essential)
- Management of Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) trained (Materiel Accountant) (desirable)
- Dangerous Goods Function Specific (Consigner) qualified (desirable - training can be given
