Bells Motor Group is a franchised Motor Dealership representing Volvo and Kia. An opportunity has arisen at our Northampton dealership for a experienced and driven individual to join our Aftersales Team as a Workshop Controller.

**Job Summary**
- To supervise the Volvo and Kia workshop and its staff to achieve an agreed level of quality, efficiency and first-time fix.
- To drive performance to achieve workshop targets.
- To operate an efficient quality audit system to maintain a high and continuously improving level of customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**
- To instruct Technicians concerning repair procedures and contact Manufacturers Technical Departments if necessary.
- To be responsible for Technician apprentice training and supervision.
- To ensure that Technicians are conversant with service and Workshop bulletins, rules and safety matters and maintain discipline and comply with Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
- To ensure that authority for additional work is obtained by reception staff in the correct manner.
- To ensure technician write ups provide a clear explanation of work with accurate clock ins. All used for the service reception to Produce and present invoices for payment providing explanation of charges.
- Be familiar with manufacturer warranty/goodwill procedures.
- To be responsible for individual Technician and overall workshop efficiency and First Time Fix.
- To approve work order and ensure times allotted are not exceeded and that additional work is recorded accurately.
- To ensure that vehicles are test driven after completion of work and that quality control is maintained to acceptable levels.
- To ensure that vehicle protection aids are used at all times.
- To ensure that time control operates as prescribed by management.
- To monitor the effectiveness of company systems, adhere to Bells Motor Group Procedures, Volvo and Kia Standards and levels of service, liaising with the Service Manager and implementing new procedures as required.
- To maintain and improve personal product and technical knowledge through information Bulletins, magazines, training and participation in Volvo and Kia training Programs.
- To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the Service Procedures to ensure any claims and technical reports are processed fairly and as quickly as possible.
- Arranging Emergency Service coverage as specified by the Service Manager.
- To support and promote the Dealership Philosophy of customer care working continuously towards improving the Customer Satisfaction rating.
- To comply with all company rules and regulations.
- To carry out any reasonable duties as directed to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the workshop and Service Department.

- 100% overall workshop efficiency
- 95% first time fix rate
- Profitability of workshop

**Responsible to**:
Service Manager /Group Aftersales Manager

**Responsible for**:
All workshop staff including Service Technicians and Apprentices.

- Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
- Saturday 8.30am to 12.30pm One in Three Rota

**Education**:
Experience: Motor Trade Experience / Workshop Experience

Work Location: In person
