**Working Hours**:Monday - Friday: 6:00am - 03:00pm. Overtime if required.

We are a busy fast-growing poultry manufacturing company that requires Shift supervisor to join the night team. We require someone who is reliable, hardworking, has excellent communications skills, good attention to detail and has a good understanding of Food Safety.

**Job purpose**:

- To ensure the required amounts of chicken cuts are injected, mixed with ingredients, tumbled, packed and metal detected to satisfy customer orders for marinated product.
- To motivate and control staff to maximise efficiency and discipline.

**Accountabilities**:

- The Production Room Supervisor is accountable to the Shift Manager.
- To ensure that Production Room process paperwork is completed neatly and accurately, in a timely fashion, ensuring the recording of all batch input codes against the batch output code.
- To ensure that the attendance, behaviour and efficiency of all Production Room Staff fulfils company standards and the Quality Manual.
- To ensure complete adherence to the Production Room CCPs stipulated in the company HACCPs and fulfilment of the controls described in the Quality Manual pre-requisites.

**Responsibilities**:

- To record the component details of every batch of product, complete the relevant paperwork and ensure correct labelling of all finished product.
- To ensure product safety, legality, authenticity and quality through the quality system procedure.
- Ensure thorough cleandown after allergen-containing production, verifying completion on the relevant process sheet.
- Ensure all finished product passes satisfactorily through the correctly set, calibration-verified metal detector.
- Ensure all chicken is not out of temperature controlled storage longer than necessary, meets temperature requirements stipulated in the HACCP whilst it is and that Production Room runs at below the HACCP stipulated maximum room temperature.
- Maintain batch codes of chicken throughout the red area and ensure the product placed into chill is accurately labelled.
- Ensure all waste is placed in the correct storage facility and that any category 2 waste has been sprayed with blue dye.
- Ensure all of the Production Room 1 staff adhere to the hygiene rules set by the company and the production is of a consistent quality.
- Ensure that weighed product greater than the minimum weights on the product labels.
- Manage the Production Room staff to achieve optimum production.
- Ensure the Production Room is cleaned according to the schedule and recorded on the appropriate paperwork.
- Report any quality issues to the Shift Manager and the Technical office.

**Essential Requirements**:

- At least 1 year working withing Food manufacturing setting experience required.
- English written & verbal communication skills required.
- Flexibility if overtime is required.
- Positive attitude, professionalism and respect for others
- Basic food-handling skills
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Have previous supervisory experience.
- Willingness to adapt to new working practices & processes.
- Reliable & punctual.
- Must have good levels of numeracy & literacy.
- Excellent attention to detail, effective planning & time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, organise and prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to handle a team of 14-15 members
