**Assistant Buyer / Buyer Administrator**

**Location**: Adderbury

**Salary**: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum

**About Us**: Established Design and Build Contractor within the Infrastructure Sector based out of Warwickshire. As we continue to expand, we are looking to grow our buying department with a dedicated and proactive Assistant Buyer / Buyer Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly growing team.

**Role Overview**: We are seeking an Assistant Buyer / Buyer Administrator who will support our procurement activities and contribute to the efficiency and success of our projects. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their career in buying within the construction industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for projects
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes and negotiate terms
- Maintain accurate records of orders and deliveries
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure timely availability of materials
- Support the Buying Manager with administrative tasks and documentation
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and contracts
- Handle invoice queries and support the finance team with reconciliation
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous experience in a buying or procurement role is preferred but not essential
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing within the procurement field
