Buyer - House Builder

An established National house builder with a good local reputation are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer for their Warwickshire Office
The role:
Reporting to the Senior Buyer and Purchasing Manager with purchasing responsibility for a variety of house building projects and working in a purchasing team.
Overall responsibilities of the role:
Assist with: Procurement of House building projects and is likely to include some or all of the following:
Material take offs & scheduling
Prepare tender documents
Analyse quotes received
Liaise with external architects and engineers regarding design issues and improvements
Placement of orders with suppliers
Administer supplier payments
Prepare costs to complete
Assist with feasibility studies and budget costings
Quotations for customer extras
Supplier rebate claims
Procurement of kitchen and window subcontractor orders would be an advantage
The Company:

The Person:
You will ideally have strong communication skills, be a team player, organised and methodical with good IT skills. You will have excellent negotiating skills
and be able to work calmly under pressure.
The role will require experience with materials procurement
It is likely you will have previously worked as either an Assistant Buyer,Junior Buyer, Commercial Trainee or in a trainee purchasing role in a similar house building environment.
Experience in housing is desirable but not essential as construction companies and builders merchants will be considered also.
