Buyer - Automotive - Exciting Start Up - Up to £50,000 + Benefits - Warwick/ Remote Hybrid

Cedar are working with a cutting edge automotive company, who are currently undertaking a ground-breaking project which will shape the future of the transport industry, to find a buyer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious, resilientbuyers to be involved in the start of a rapidly growing enterprise and truly make an impact in an exciting industry with significant opportunity for career progression.

The buyer will join a strong team of likeminded individuals and will be involved in direct procurement of automotive parts related to the assigned portfolio. They will be involved in the end to end buying process including sourcing suppliers, commercialnegotiation, cost and budget reporting, order process and payment authorisation and supplier management. The ideal buyer will have experience in a buyer or junior buyer role within an engineering led business with excellent stakeholder management skills. Automotiveexperience is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities of the Buyer
- Develop and implement category strategy
- Lead sourcing project, maintaining adherence to sourcing strategy and project plans
- Manage the RFx Process
- Manage supplier relationships including negotiating commercial terms and resolving issues
- Manage key stakeholder relationships
- Undertake cost reduction initiatives across managed categories

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years direct buying experience in an engineering led business
- Excellent relationship manager with both suppliers and stakeholders
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Self starter, able to both work autonomously and collaborate as part of a team
