Product Designer - Poole - Salary up to £27,000
Do you have a degree or qualification in Product Design? Our client based in Poole is looking for a Product Designer to join the team on a permanent basis. You will be working in a fast paced role designing and developing products from initial concepts, rightthrough to final prototype stage.
Main responsibilities:
- Work within a team to bring new ideas for design development of new products and concepts
- Design products based on the given briefs and schedules ensuring the products fits the brief in all aspects
- Contribute ideas to the team and bring fresh ideas to each state of the design development
- Communicate across the design team to enable proper execution of projects & designs
- Create visual customer product presentations and liaise with account customers
- Choose the materials, construction, colour and surface finishes for all designs
- Ensure development lead times are executed in order to increase speed to market by liaising with the manufacturing departments
**Requirements**:
- BA in Product Design or Industrial Design is essential
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- Excellent hand drawing & sketching abilities & visualisation skills
- Knowledge of Fusion 360, Solidworks, Creo, Rhino & 3DsMax would be beneficial
- Visualise designs as 3D models & mock up using in-house design tools
- Able to interpret technical drawings and translate to into a usable format
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to travel independently when required
