**Who are we seeking?**

We are looking for a Design Draughtsperson to support the design of Customer Special projects new and existing, from modelling components through to producing fully resolved drawings to be issued to production. Example responsibilities will include;
- Produce production drawings for various components and sub-assemblies for both new and existing projects, primarily using Siemens NX 3-D design software but also using Autocad 2-D as required.
- Model and draught all aspects of yacht design, primarily exterior specials, but also support interiors, concept, construction, electrical & systems.
- Collaborate with CVF/Sales to fully understand the brief, and to carry out the design to suit the desired needs.
- Support CVF/Sales with technical queries during the provisional CVF process.
- Communicate all design information clearly to others involved in the design and production of the project.
- Ensure that parts of the project can be populated into SAP, which is in turn then used to populate the bill of materials.
- Work on projects as part of a small and focused team as well as issuing design information to tight deadlines with minimum supervision where required.
- Produce drawings that are suitable for production, classification societies.
- Ensure that the design falls in line with the CVF budget (where possible), in order for the special to be profitable to the business.
- Understand the cost of components and be proactive in reducing these costs where possible.
- Continually strive to develop personal skill and knowledge in all aspects of marine design, to enable future advancement in both personal ability, and future, larger products.
- Support other design disciplines with DCR’s during downtime between customer specials.

**To be considered, you'll need;**
- BEng (2:2 or better) or MEng in Marine Engineering or equivalent
- Good CAD skills, ideally with NX
- A willingness to attend the office more often than not initially, moving to a 2/3 rotation as required
- A good history of your commitment to previous employers
