**Job summary**:
The Assistant Ecological Officer is accountable to the Rural Estate Ecological Officer for the practical aspects of conservation and habitat management across the Dstl Porton Down estates; specifically the Site of Special Scientific Interest, (SSSI) Special Protection Area (SPA) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC) in line with legislation and DSTL Policy. This role offers the successful applicant an opportunity to deliver important conservation work on a nationally important chalk downland site.

The Interview Panel will consist of the Estates Team Leader, the Ecological Officer and Senior Rural Ranger; the interview process will last no longer than 45 minutes.
