We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who will be dedicated to managing the day to day operational requirements for the Procurement Support Team.

You will support the Category Teams and stakeholders in the development of specifications and evaluation criteria. Co-ordinate and deliver the procurement process through to the award of contract, ensuring effective negotiation with external suppliers, agents and contractors.

You will support and implement cost reduction schemes in accordance with annual plans and strategic aims agreed at Executive Director and Care Group level

Ensuring compliance with the organisation’s Standing Financial Instructions, Public Procurement Legislation and mandatory NHS Executive contracts (via the Crown Commercial Service and NHS Supply Chain).

Undertake tasks or any other special duties as directed by the Head of Systems & Governance or other senior colleagues within MSE Procurement function.

To assist our internal customers on use of our systems and ensure that the information put in requisitions is accurate, consistent to allow for accurate data reporting.

The procurement function acts as a centre of excellence for all Procurement & Supply Chain activities across the new group. It manages the provision of goods and services to all departments (clinical and non-clinical) on a daily basis, contracting for the provision with several thousand suppliers. The service performs a strategic business management role, managing £370m of non-pay expenditure in support of its stakeholders across the group.

Understand the demands of internal stakeholder and where possible direct them to existing pre-existing contracts or frameworks.

Support the culture of collaboration, flexible cross-team working and a commitment to delivering high quality service for all customers

Providing regular and structured training in pre-planned sessions or when team members, current or new require such support, therefore enabling them to perform at a high level in their use of SFI’s and UK Public Sector regulations.
