Senior UX Researcher

Newcastle

Up to £60,000 DOE

**Overview**

As a key member of the UX team, you’ll work closely with UX designers and business analysts to provide ongoing insights and best practices. You will reveal what our users need from our products by conducting research across our various SaaS and VR solutions.

Your responsibilities will include inspiring change, facilitating qualitative research, delivering presentations, evaluating data, and helping the product teams better understand what would improve the user experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, business analysts, product managers, designers and developers on research activities and testing of new concepts
- Gather information from customers to help identify their requirements and recommend relevant services such as user research or usability testing
- Facilitate qualitative research sessions and set up quantitative surveys
- Plan, develop and implement research processes and strategies within an agile development cycle
- Plan and design user research workshops
- Document research findings, create user personas and journey maps
- Communicate findings to varied audiences and advocate for better UX

**Skills and experience**
- 4+ years’ research experience in a similar or related industry
- Excellent knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Ability to establish user testing strategies with clients to understand current usability and establish improvements and developments
- An understanding of identifying opportunities and driving the process to shape and grow the business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise work and cope with competing demands
- Strong work ethic, analytical mindset and a positive attitude to dealing with people
