**Your New Role**
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven Management Accountant to join a fast growing, specialist construction business in Durham. Working a hybrid position within the team you will report directly into the Finance Director and will be responsible forday to day financial controls and processes, preparation and submission of the monthly accounts, forecasting and budgeting as well as project billing, balance sheet reconciliations and WIP management.
This is an excellent time to be joining the business as a newly created role, you will have the to autonomy to make it your own and drive improvement/changes.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the preparation and submission of the monthly accounts, including journal preparation and posting.
- Control of balance sheets and supporting reconciliations.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Identify systems and performance improvement opportunities.
- Early identification of any issues identified and flagging to management.
- Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance Department by assisting the Finance Controller in identifying and implementing improved processes and procedures.
- WIP Management.
- Project Billing across different Cost Centres and Divisions.

**You will be/have**:

- Part Qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Strong IT Skills: Good level of MS Excel, knowledge/understanding of SAP or similar would be preferable.
- Confident Communicator and excellent inter personal skills to maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders and work well as part of a team.
- Be able to tackle problems head on and come up with creative solutions that can be implemented.
- Driven and ambitious individual that is looking to further enhance their career in a fast growing business.
