**Peer Mentor - Hull (DWP Project)**

**About the Role**
Are you in recovery from drug and/or alcohol use and passionate about using your lived experience to inspire others? This is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference as a **Peer Mentor** in our DWP-funded project in Hull.
**In this role, you will**:
- Inspire and support people in recovery to manage their dependencies and access the right support.- Work one-to-one with individuals to understand their goals, aspirations, and next steps towards employment.- Build confidence, provide emotional support, and empower people to take control of their recovery journey.- Collaborate with individuals to create, review, and evaluate action plans that help them achieve their personal and professional goals.- Work closely with DWP work coaches and local substance misuse services to ensure holistic and joined-up support.
**Location**: Hull, East Yorkshire
**Full Time Hours**: 37.5 per week
- **Salary**: £25,077 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
**Contract**: Fixed term until 31st March 2026
- Please note full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

- Lived experience of substance misuse and recovery.- The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with empathy and respect.- Confidence in working independently and as part of a supportive team.- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.- A commitment to working with clear professional boundaries.
