Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Designated Safeguaridng Lead within the Hull ReNew Service.

You will oversee staff and support them to work with service users who are accessing support with their substance misuse. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and driven Designated Safeguarding Lead to join a multi-disciplinary staff team which includes; Recovery Coordionators, Group Facilitators, Administrative staff, Recovery Champions, Volunteers and Peer Mentors etc.

This post is a permanent contract.

**Responsibilities**:
The post holder will be the overall Safeguarding Lead for CGL Hull ReNew Services, supporting the National Safeguarding Lead, the Recovery Workers and Nurses to deliver quality interventions to service users with complex needs related to child and/or adult safeguarding, client re-engagement, family and carers work and co-ordinating the leading on safeguarding functions within the team.

Focus of work will be:

- To reduce drug related harm to the individual and wider community.
- To promote healthier lives, wellbeing and active, responsible citizenship.
- To lead on the co-ordination and management of all Safeguarding systems within the Hull ReNew Services
- To train staff on CGL safeguarding processes and systems, monitoring safeguarding outcomes and ensuring cases are recorded and followed up appropriately through a regular cycle of audit and review.
- To represent ReNew at multi-agency Safeguarding forums within the City such as MARAC and other meetings
- Co-ordinate, organise and lead Safeguarding Adults’ multi-agency case conferences.
- To promote and support individuals into both abstinence based and medically assisted forms of recovery.
- To work in close partnership with other service providers within the treatment system.
- To support colleagues to improve their practice in relation to safeguarding and moving service users into Tier 4 treatment effectively.
