Based in the Hockley area of Birmingham, we are a leading provider of support in and around Birmingham, we have a reputation for providing our clients with support in an understanding, flexible and empathetic way in top quality shared and self-contained supported accommodation.

We are a growing company, providing temporary accommodation contracted via Birmingham City Council as well as homes for life, provided under our supported accommodation scheme.

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join our friendly and welcoming team in Birmingham - Hockley area. Working as part of a team you will be provide quality and personalised support to adults living in shared supported accommodation.

Housing Support Workers manage a caseload of vulnerable adults 18+, helping them to learn and develop skills that will help them to make sustainable changes to their lifestyle. This may include supporting them to:

- Support to maintain their tenancy
- Debt related issues
- Access primary healthcare
- Support with benefits/welfare rights/ maximise income
- Improve and maintain mental health
- Signposting to substance misuse support
- Support to maintain or access employment or volunteering
- Assist to maintain access education or training
- Support to obtain essential household items
- Gain access to other services
- Support to Stay Safe
- Support to acquire long term independent accommodation

Other tasks include but not limited to;
Regular health and safety checks in your allocated properties

Reporting of maintenance issues and following up on outstanding repairs

Moving in new tenants in to their allocated accommodation

Liaising with contractors and stakeholders

Answering telephone calls in the office and transferring calls

**Salary**: From £17,550.00 per year

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
