**The main responsibilities of the Head of Procurement include**:

- Lead on the implementation of the newly formulated procurement strategy throughout the organisation, training and developing senior managers.
- Provide direct support and advice to a range of internal stakeholders on both operational and strategic procurement on BAU activities and other projects.
- Develop an end-to-end contract management process and work with relevant stakeholders to undertake a critical review of existing contracts to ensure value for money is being achieved.
- Roll out the new bespoke contract management database, training staff and embedding the new process into business as usual.
- Lead and manage the procurement team, currently with one assistant there is scope to grow this team, which will be formed how the incoming Head of Procurement sees most suitable.
- Increasing focus on social values in procurement, ensuring that suppliers align with the organisation’s values and missions, identifying improvements that can be made.

- Experience in managing and end to end procurement function and implementing newly created procurement strategies.
- CIPS qualifications, at a minimum Level 5.
- A strong track record of working with public sector procurement and / or experience in a not-for-profit environment.
- An adept ability to build strong working relationships, providing support and advise as well as being able to professionally challenge senior members of staff.
