We are looking for an Procurement Category Manager - Indirects to join our Production team at our head office in York. As an Procurement Category Manager you will be responsible for managing all indirect procurement activities. You will implement the overall category plan, utilising techniques to consolidate and leverage Portakabin Group spend to deliver maximum value. Your remit will be to lead on procurement categories / projects across the business. Role Details Annual salary up to £43,000 - £52,000 dependent on skills and experience. Plus an annual on target bonus of 5% Role based: New Lane, Huntington, York (Head Office) - You must live within 1 hour of York Contract type: Permanent Eligible to join Private Medical Scheme Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year. In this role you will be required to Design, implement and ensure effective collation of data and details for timely and accurate tracking and reporting of Procurement to objectives and deliverables, on all aspects of sourcing, procurement and contract management. Assist with developing an efficient and ethical supply chain, ensuring robust, sustainable and cost-effective supply base across all categories. Deliver key projects with cross functional teams whilst embedding processes and practices across the team and into the wider stakeholder community. Develop and maintain a high level of market intelligence. Deliver the best quality at the best price, up to date with market trends and challenges, mitigate business risks. Optimise inventories, improved storage, workflows and processes which result in reducing costs. Lead and complete a number of continuous improvement projects to reduce costs. Previous experience as an Indirect Procurement Category Manager role. Have extensive knowledge relevant to the job and field. Good analytical skills and able to build sound relationships, in-depth knowledge of company's operating model and strong knowledge of contracting principles and practices.
