**About the role**

This is an exciting time to be in Barnet where service transformation and innovation is at the heart of the council’s Corporate Plan to ensure that the borough is efficient and effective in its aim to care for our people, places, and the planet. This role is tasked with leading telecommunications investments and the achievement of economic development outcomes relating to the council’s Connected Places Transformation Programme, which brings together the council’s place making duties and digital adoption to create a better connected borough.

**About you**

Ability to effectively deliver projects and programmes, with at least solid experience relating to broadband deployment, telecoms networks, and/or smart cities IoT deployment.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. With proven experience in relation to telecoms, smart city, or technology implementation; especially if this has involved a public sector interface.

Demonstrate outcomes-driven approach to developing and implementing smart city strategies that improves the delivery of public services and enhances quality of life for residents and businesses.

Experience of managing telecoms, smart cities or IoT projects from initiation to completion.
