We are delivering this all through many strategic partnerships that collectively form one of the largest development programmes in England

**About the role**

The authority has recognised the need for a dedicated central team to provide high quality, consistent and effective delivery of our Sustainability Programme and is growing an in-house team to do so. The Team will lead, manage and oversee all future activities that will enable us to deliver on our commitments to being Net Zero as an organisation by 2030 and as a borough as soon as possible after this (and by 2042 at the latest).

This is a newly created post responsible for supporting the Council’s ambitious, transformative agenda around Sustainability. It presents an exciting and varied role that will offer the post holder the opportunity to support the Sustainability Team in delivering its ambitious agenda.

The role of Capital Project Support Officer - Sustainability, is to provide business and project support across the Sustainability Portfolio. This will include providing support and coordination across workstreams, managing the forward plan of committees, meetings, and other project activities. You will be responsible for ensuring action logs, performance and other business planning is produced in a timely manner and that updates are provides to relevant stakeholders as required.

**About you**

You will be responsible for ensuring our communication channels (i.e. Yammer, Intranet and Internet Pages) are kept up-to-date; either through the creation of content or ensuring others provide information where needed. To be able to do your job effectively you will have good interpersonal skills and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation.

The post-holder will be a pivotal part of the team in ensuring the ‘wheels keep turning’ and therefore it is essential the post-holder is flexible and happy to support where needed.
