**THE ROLE**

We have an exciting role for a program manager to join the innovation team at SGN.
They will take ownership of a complex and diverse portfolio of innovation projects that vary from live field trials to research projects. Your portfolio will include projects led and funded by SGN and projects where we are part of a consortium collaboratingwith other organisations on large scale, industry-wide projects.

The program manager will be responsible for coaching, developing, and motivating a team of project managers and coordinators, ensuring project management discipline is consistently followed.

**Key responsibilities will include;**
- Own the portfolio of innovation projects ensuring best practice project management
- Coach, motivate and develop team of project managers and coordinators
- Stakeholder management & engagement - ensuring effective project communications across the portfolio
- Ensuring compliance to standards for externally funded projects

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**

Significant and successful program / project management experience across a range of different project types and budgets, you will be an excellent stakeholder manager and an effective relationship builder.

You will have strong management and leadership experience with a proven ability to develop people and teams.

You will need to be an excellent communicator able to engage at all levels and be a confident presenter.

**Essential;**
- Project management qualifications
- Program management experience to include complex projects with significant budgets
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication skills

**Desirable;**
- Knowledge of energy or wider utilities sector
- Experience working in regulated industry
- Experience managing innovation or R&D projects
