**The Company**
Established international technology business is looking to recruit an experienced IT Manager who can lead in the the continual upgrade of their internal systems, in what is a fast paced, complex environment, ensuring that day to day support needs are met,as well as improving processes and infrastructure.
**The Role**
In this hands on role, the IT Manager will be responsible for the provision of IT support, systems & cybersecurity capabilities across the business and will research potential IT solutions to improve business and technical operations, ensuring the businesshas robust cybersecurity systems, making recommendations and ultimately implementing agreed projects. Leading a small team, you will:

- Ensuring the company's internal IT and DevOps systems align with the overall technical architecture and deliver the maximum benefit to internal and external users.
- Ensure that incidents, user requests, and changes assigned to the team are received and resolved within agreed timescales.
- Take the lead on assigned infrastructure and data and cybersecurity projects, ensuring they are well planned and delivered on time, within budget.
- Responsible for the integrity and reliability of data back-ups and systems resilience across globally distributed offices.
- Point of escalation and contact for any on site IT related emergency issue.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of both new and existing hardware and software e.g. Operating systems (Windows & Linux), printers, phones.
- Be responsible for budget recommendations as well as software licence renewals and timely hardware upgrades.
- Ensure all IT assets are tracked and accounted for in a timely manner, including replacement and disposal cycles.
- Liaise with external service providers to ensure any issues are resolved promptly.
- Document procedures / tasks where appropriate and share solutions with users in an effective manner.
- Provide input for IT based company policies e.g. data security and retention.

**The Requirements**
As a resilient and enthusiastic self-starter who has led and motivated others, you will be experienced in managing the IT infrastructure of ideally a SME sized business including service desk management and service delivery and be able to manage demanding userrequests in a fast-paced environment. With exposure to modern practices, you will be technically proficient with:

- Windows desktop, server installation and troubleshooting.
- Windows domain management and configuration.
- Linux (Ubuntu) installation and troubleshooting.
- Automation of management, patching and security auditing.
- VMWare management and implementation.
- Desktop and server hardware maintenance (Dell and HPE).
- Networking - physical and configuration.
- Storage systems.
- Office365 admin.

Exposure to DevOps systems such as build management or source control as well as cloud computing (Azure or AWS) would be beneficial, as will experience with implementing cybersecurity policies.
