As a trusted and preferred recruitment partner to this prestigious global engineering firm, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a permanent Senior NOC Manager.

The role itself sits within our clients Operations & Engineering team, with this role responsible for providing global NOC technical services and leadership. This role also will assist with supporting the delivery and the network assurance function, ensuringit meets the operational needs of customers.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Help to build, lead and continuously improve an international 365/24 NOC function by supporting delivery of the Telecoms strategy, including the orchestration of day-to-day network operations and network performance activities with network monitoring, logicalconfiguration activities, reporting and customer communication.
- Plan, organise and manage staff and overall NOC operations to ensure timely and well-structured monitoring and management of all customers and consortium systems, networks and services.
- Evolve the processes, tools and systems which will deliver optimum operational experience for customers and suppliers.
- Manage escalations, trouble to resolve process including field technicians in-line with iNOC. Ensuring all KPIs and SLAs are met for service and network availability.
- Drive and deliver positive trends to reduce incident volumes, increase network availability, eradicate repeat incidents and decrease incident durations.
- Travel will be required from time to time.

**Skills Required**:

- At least 5 years network operational experience.
- Able to build effective working relationships with all levels of the business and across all functions.
- Strong budget, document control and people management skills.
- Knowledge of Ciena 6500 product (provisioning and operations).
- Strong ITIL background throughout incident, problem, change and configuration management.
- NOC tools and systems experience across incident, inventory, NMS, MCP, change and configuration platforms.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet strict deadlines and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
