**Summary**:
We are delighted to advertise an exciting new opportunity as a Public Funds Accounts and Deputy Cashier at DMRC Stanford Hall, Loughborough.

Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Stanford Hall is a centre of excellence, providing medical rehabilitation, personnel, training and research for the operational role in order to achieve optimum levels of health and fitness.

The position offers 37 hours per week and requests to work flexibly will be considered, taking into account the business needs.

**Job description**:
As the successful post holder, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions using government funds and for deputising as a cashier when required. You will also act as a secretary to the Service Fund Internal Audit Board (SFIAB). And, you will participate in the mentoring of personnel, helping ensure that their training needs are met and that any shortfalls are identified and addressed.

**Responsibilities**:
The successful applicant’s main duties will include but are not limited to:

- Registering bills, claims, miscellaneous payments and recoveries on the SPA computer system.
- Ensuring that public bills payable at unit or via Bills Direct and Contract, Purchasing and Finance (CP&F) are paid by the due date.
- Maintaining the unit losses book.
- Processing invoices on Cash Office Management (COM) and Defence Business Services (DBS) from initial receipt to final payment.
- Hastening all unpaid recoveries in accordance with JSP 501.
- Ensuring that continuous audit of the Service Funds on this Unit, declared under QR 75(4) are being carried out at the designated times by monitoring the Audit Progress Chart, and notifying the President of any outstanding ones.
