Alma Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of their Coventry based manufacturing client for an experienced passionate Technical Publications Specialist or Technical author to be based out of their site and potentially move to hybrid working afterprobation period.

Core role of the position is to ensure all technical documentation is kept up-to-date and current including maintenance manuals, operator's manuals, tech info notices also illustrated parts catalogues in all relevant languages.

Qualifications:

- Higher education in Maths and English, Engineering or Science based or equivalent.

MS office suite of products and PC knowledge

Proven experience in a Technical publication role

Experience within an international corporation dealing with worldwide base

Experience in Adobe CC, Framemaker and Isodraw

Excellent organisational and planning skills.

Confidence to deal with people internally and externally at all levels.

Excellent attention to detail

Mechanical Engineering knowledge with the ability to review technical drawings and competent in CAD as well as Adobe Suite
- Create illustrations, and text, for new product documentation prior to product launch.
- Create Technical Information Notices for Global distribution
- Liaise with third party service providers, including translation companies and technical publications companies as required
- Interface with various departments to communicate availability of publications, support required, and to answer any incoming enquiries
- Provide training as required to departmental trainees regarding various systems and software used to create exploded diagrams, and to author publications.
- Maintain and update our online e-commerce system
- Support print room activity, including printing and binding books, creating vehicle graphics, and creating vinyl signage as required

Initial working hours Monday to Thursday 8.30 to 5pm, Friday finish at 2pm, with some flexibility.

Opportunity to work from home with at least 1 day in office after probation period.
