Which is why we are looking for a new technical specialist to join our Public Health & Standards (PH&S) team You will be taking a leading role within the PH&S team with the objective of protecting public health, driving high quality investigations into water quality issues and supporting with the wider business with compliance of all aspects of water quality standards, regulation and best practice.

The key accountabilities of this role will include:

- Acting as a Duty Manager to ensure PH&S duty desk activities are undertaken with delivery of all tasks to the required standards and deadlines.
- Deputising for the Water Quality Complaints Team Lead in overseeing the management of escalated water quality complaints in their absence.
- Supporting the management of water quality complaints with responsibility for liaising with operational teams and customers to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
- Ensuring full compliance with and timely completion of all aspects of water quality exception report requirements.
- Liaising effectively with health colleagues (Public Health England / Wales and local authority environmental health colleagues) and provide timely advice to ensure their confidence is maintained in Severn Trent’s day to day operations.

Experience within a water quality focussed rule, with a strong understanding of handling complex customer complaints are ideal for this role.
