Technical Support Specialist

PebbleHost is looking for individuals with experience of server management, configuration and building to join our team.
Your role as a Technical Support Specialist will primarily be based around assisting our customers with their dedicated and game servers.
When on shift, your key responsibilities are:
- Deployment and racking of servers
- Providing both billing and technical support to assist customers
- Debugging software and hardware issues
- Tracking and processing new stock deployment
Hours & Salary
The position is a full time position with flexible working hours, we expect roughly 40-48 hours per week.
The position is paid hourly based on the type of work, which ranges from £14/hr to £16/hr. This works out to roughly £30,000.00 - £34,000.00 per year once settled into the position.
Job Requirements
- You must be able to travel onsite to our Coventry datacentre on a daily basis
- Perfect Written English
- Aged 18 years or older
- Experience with Linux
- At least 20Mbps internet speed
- Strong communication skills (Microphone required)
- Basic experience working in IT / a similar role
Desired Qualifications:
- Above average technical abilities
- Prior experience in a data centre environment
- Ability to independently problem solve
- Above average knowledge with CentOS
- Knowledge in PHP & Java
- Extensive knowledge within Minecraft and other related source games
- Knowledge of building a PC / server
- Being able to drive & having use of a car
**Salary**: £30,160.00-£33,408.00 per year
