We are currently offering an excellent opportunity for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Coventry. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering first and second level support for end user devices, including laptops, desktops, printers and barcode scanners. You will also implement standards defined by the System and Network Engineering teams, supporting plant operations in areas such as desktop infrastructure, WAN/LAN connectivity, server management and disaster recovery planning. Working Hours : Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm On Call Rota – once a month About The Role Deliver first and second-level support to end users for all endpoint devices, including laptops, desktops, mobile phones, printers, and barcode scanners. Assist the System and Network Engineering Teams and the Service Desk by providing first and second-level diagnostic support for desktops, WAN/LAN infrastructure and servers. Maintain accurate documentation of site-specific network, server and device configurations. Develop and update work instructions for new or revised tasks, ensuring all documentation follows the required format and is stored in the designated location as directed by the TSS team lead. Participate in the global on-call support rotation, providing timely assistance to DP World sites across different regions. Respond to calls promptly and connect to the DP World network within 10 minutes of notification. Monitor service desk alerts via email and take appropriate action, either resolving or escalating issues as needed. Provide change management support during weekend on-call shifts. Follow and enforce DP World’s change, incident and problem management procedures, escalating issues to the Service Desk according to the established escalation process. Comply with DP World’s security protocols by proactively identifying and reporting security concerns to the TSS team lead or relevant manager. Ensure all IT assets are tracked throughout their lifecycle in accordance with purchasing policies. Offer onsite support for new site deployments and server/network upgrades. Perform additional duties as assigned. What will you Bring Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Possess a qualification in Computer Science or equivalent professional training and certification, supported by hands‑on experience in a technical environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to develop and maintain clear documentation for processes and procedures. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external auditors. Capable of working in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and a high level of confidentiality. Excellent organizational and analytical problem‑solving abilities. Solid understanding and practical experience with desktop hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Good working knowledge of network systems, protocols, and server hardware and operating systems. Requirements NOTE: All our roles are subject to the below: Eligibility to work in the UK.
