**About the job**:
As a Researcher (core) you will:

- Plan and conduct independent research to collect and analyse customer behavior through a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative methods.
- Work with other teams across Rides i.e. product team, designers, UX writing, data analysts, strategy, supply & Customer services teams to understand and incorporate technical and business requirements into research.
- Collaborate with other teams across the other functions/ business units across Booking to identify synergies
- Define and measure quantitative UX goals and metrics in collaboration with senior Researchers, Designers, Analysts and Product Managers.
- Support a user-centered design approach by collaborating closely with UX and product stakeholders and others in the business.
- Be the users' advocate, ensuring their needs are central to design and development decisions.
- Take guidance from Seniors within the business to improve on research quality, and other craft improvements.
- Test out new ways of gathering consumer insights through new research tools or mixing methods.

**Experience (essential)**:

- 3+ years' UX research delivery in a consultancy, agency or in-house setting.
- Degree or higher degree in psychology, behavioral sciences, HCI, economics or similar (more experience can substitute for this).
- Knowledge of how to use a variety of UX research methods (qualitative and quantitative), with a strong awareness of their merits and weaknesses.
- Experience using a variety of commercial UX Research or VOC software tools.
- Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to distill the output of complex and disparate datasets
- Knowledge of user centered design principles and best practices.

Experience (desirable):

- Awareness of both experimentation principles and ethnographic research.
- Ecommerce or travel industry experience.
- Master degree in Human Computer Interaction, psychology or similar
