Emis Epma Systems Administrator

Following a period of latency, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Administrator to act as part of the ePMA implementation team. The Trust already has extensive experience of the EMIS Ascribe WebPharmacy system including eMM within the pharmacy service and will be implementing the EMIS solution for ePMA.
As an System Administrator joining the ePMA project implementation team, you will work closely with ePMA Systems Manager and the project team, to ensure that the ePMA system is fit for use, understood by the teams and any concerns and issues are raised to the project team.
You should have experience working in an admin role, ideally either within the health and care sector or the digital sector.
We are looking for a motivated, adaptable administrator with excellent communication skills and a passion for using technology to harness improvement. Previous experience with EMIS or ePMA systems is desirable but not essential, but you should be able to demonstrate excellent digital skills.
You will work closely with the ePMA Systems Manager to support the development and continued use of the electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) system. You will be actively involved in the engaging ward and wider Trust staff regarding the use of the ePMA system and support the development of policies, procedures and training packages as well as supporting the systems Manager and ePMA project team with administrative tasks.
You will support the safe and successful delivery of ePMA within the Trust including development, implementation and evaluation of the system. This will include support updating the system or project documentation and supporting in development of training materials.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

- To assist in providing training on EMIS Ascribe and ePMA system and other patient and non-patient related systems to all staff to include; new starters and additional and refresher training to existing user’s and new services as and when appropriate.
- To assist in any redesign or configuration in response to service / business / ISN (DSCN) requirements and / or project requirements under direction from the EMIS Ascribe and ePMA Systems Managers, Senior Systems Development Officer, ePMA clinical leads and/or EPR Developers.
- To act on configuration and functionality developments within systems as informed by the EMIS Ascribe Systems Manager and assist in disseminating these to end users.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist in the day to day management of user accounts and ensuring that there is a consistent approach across customer organizations.
- To contribute to the creation of system training materials in line with Trust standards. Ensuring all materials are up to date with regard to changes in software, local NHS policies and Government / Department of Health guidelines and that version control is updated and maintained.
- To contribute in the continual reviewing of the EMIS Ascribe and ePMA / EPR training courses to ensure the content is complete and up to date.
- To actively maintain knowledge of systems through continuous proactive learning.
- To assist in the planning for up-coming training sessions ensuring appropriate materials are developed using a consistent approach across the Trust.
- Effective use of training tools and project methodologies.
- To support the EMIS Ascribe and ePMA / Systems Development team and provide administrative support where necessary including arranging meetings, taking minutes and attending meetings.
- To assist with setting up venues, booking sessions and ensuring that courseware / system information is up to date and available when required.
- To assist in developing a flexible range of training material to support clinicians and related administration support.
