Clinical Educator

We are looking for an experienced Nurse with proven leadership skills who will support the emergency department whilst developing education learning and development to all ED disciplines ensuring a high quality of education, learning and development.
The post holder will be a credible critical Ed Nurse / practitioner who is easily identifiable, visible and accessible to staff, patients and relatives.
The post holder will lead on the implementation of education, development plans, induction, mentoring and preceptorship as well as the ongoing professional development of all non-medical care staff.
The role will support and facilitate specific service improvement projects to deliver demonstrable and sustainable improvements in quality, safety, cost, staff and patient experience.
The post holder will coordinate and help deliver robust programmes of education and participate in audit to evaluate the effectiveness and maintain standards of nursing care.
Maintain accurate training records to highlight trends and inform action planning in partnership with the critical care ward matrons. Provide ongoing learner support to optimise the ongoing learning development of the Emergency Department team to meet national educational standards.
We have a newly renovated ED department that works closely with our Urgent care center there will be opportunities to work in both areas.

The post holder will deliver a high standard of education, learning and development across the service ensuring high quality education is delivered to all staff
The post holder will work in partnership with the senior clinical matron and the emergency department matrons and will be responsible for implementing evidence based, patient focused practice. They will work within the clinical areas, working with staff to facilitate the development of skills in order to integrate education and practice development, enhancing quality care delivery from all workforce groups.
The post holder will lead and facilitate audit and research and will function as a role model for staff within the clinical area, enabling and supporting the development of interdisciplinary working, sharing good practice and delivery of high quality, effective and efficient care.
The post holder will actively participate in the Responsive Care education panel.
