Sales Controller

We currently have two Sales Controller roles available - one in our Milton Keynes office and one in our Bedford office.
**The Role**
The role of Sales Controller is to oversee the task of moving sales from reservation stage through to contract exchange and completion and drive for this to happen in the shortest possible timescale. Ensure that maximum profit is achieved through the effective management of the sales team’s progression whilst giving a high level of service to our customers. The Sales Controller also provides administrative back up to the Director.
**Principal accountabilities of the role include**:
- The Sales Controller will help ensure correct communication is being maintained between solicitors to strive to contract exchange by the specified reservation expiry date.
- The Sales Controller will also act as a liaison between the office-based sales team, so that all stakeholders are adequately informed as to the progress of each individual sale in the sales pipeline.
- Responsible for investigating and resolving any problems, particularly those sales involving multiple chains.
- The Sales Controller may also act as an additional point of contact to our customers to guide them through the contract/completion process. The Sales Controller can help provide a central point of contact so that the process runs smoothly, particularly important when dealing with customers who may not be familiar with the legal terminology.
- Ensure that our customers are given the highest service levels possible at all times.
- Resolve any ad-hoc or minor queries that may not necessarily need to be directed to the legal team, allowing the conveyancers to focus on more complex enquiries and achieve a prompt exchange of contracts/completion.
- Provide sales team with accurate, regular updates (at least weekly) and coach anyone who may need help to improve in this area.
- Provide daily / weekly update report to Senior Management or as required.
- Attend or contribute to sales update meetings as required.
**Experience, Qualifications and Skills**
- Experience of working within a face to face sales environment.
- Experience in a property or conveyancing setting role.
- Experience of working as a Sales Controller is desirable. but not essential.
**Qualifications and Training**
GCSE Maths and English - Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
Microsoft: Word and Excel

- Effective negotiation and sales skills

- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
- IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems

Pay: £21,800.00-£22,750.00 per year
Additional pay:
