Head of Supply Chain

**Job Purpose** Working collaboratively with Regional Managers, Business Unit Leaders, and Functional Heads, you will drive supply chain excellence and superior financial results through the profitable development of long term relationships with our key suppliers. You will also be responsible for driving world-class excellence with respect to sourcing quality materials, supplier effectiveness, and rationalisation, etc. by ensuring that we manage the supply chain effectively across all regions and enable CDE to continue to procure and supply world-class solutions for our customers. **About The Role** **Key Responsibilities** - To develop and implement a comprehensive global supply chain strategy, systems, tactics, budgets, resource requirements and action plans to grow and support all sectors and all regions. - To develop relationships with suppliers and senior stakeholders, assessing their effectiveness and ability to scale to the size and pace of CDE. - To travel as required to meet with key people and liaise with senior management & suppliers - To align relationships with customers and also sub-contractors when required - To oversee the procurement process and supply chain for all industry sectors and regions, ensuring we have regional suppliers and Global Accounts in place to support our business in all the locations we operate. - To strongly drive change management across a wide range of suppliers - To manage the company budget effectively and deliver customer KPI's - To provide procurement and supply chain strategic direction and innovation - To generate a year on year efficiencies by strategically managing the supply chain effectively - To negotiate supply level agreements that deliver quality, on-time service levels, whilst minimising buffer stock - To ensure the supply chain team structure is customer-focused, and managed effectively, to ensure optimum productivity - Develop and review KPIs to ensure effective delivery of team performance - To lead material resourcing activities in coordination with both the Director of Production and Manufacturing to drive a competitive advantage - To prepare the required data and input into monthly Board meetings and strategic reviews - To oversee effective storage and logistics channels around the company’s strategic regions to the best "Total Value" proposition ensuring all KPIs are measured and improved upon. - To provide leadership to the store's function, ensuring that goods in, inventory, good out, stocktake together with intercampus deliveries and picking for project delivery and CustomCare functions are all measured and optimised to deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers both external and internal. - To deploy lean inventory management principles to drive turn around and cash improvements. - To manage the identification and fulfilment of all material requirements across all sectors and regions. - To continually seek out and implement business improvement opportunities to ensure that we exceed our customer's expectations. **Required Criteria** - Degree in supply chain, business or related technical field OR demonstration of significant comparable experience - Previous experience of procurement and supply chain within a similar industry - Experience of managing an S&OP process’ (Sales and Order Planning) which links Sales demands/forecasts, through the supply chain and aligns with Operations capacities and timeframes - Demonstrated leadership in delivering key objectives (quality, cost and on-time delivery) and operational excellence - Ability to demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen as well as exceptional results from supply chain management **Desired Criteria** - Experience of supply chain and procurement from within a global business - Experience in the Engineering/material handling industry **Skills Needed** Problem Solving, Attention to detail, Decision Making **About The Company** WE ARE CDE.
