Electrical Quantity Surveyor at Combined Facilities Management (CFM) Ltd Role Overview Reporting to the Head of Commercial, this role is responsible for the commercial delivery and contractual management of all contracted works, including remeasurement and valuation of works, ensuring that commercial and contractual targets are achieved. The role will commercially manage a portfolio of work and ensure maximum contribution for the company. Key Activities / Responsibilities Commercial management of projects and contracts. Setting budgets and agreeing specifications for works pre‑start and closely monitoring throughout to ensure project targets are achieved. Providing contractual and cost advice to operational management and staff. Procurement and cost management of subcontractor packages. Preparation, costing and submission of early warning and compensation event notifications in line with NEC contract requirements. Ensuring detailed records of works are recorded and maintained, accurate and auditable and available for submission as required in a timely manner. Surveys and costing of proposed works and remeasurement of completed works including capital works and measured term contracts. Quality audit of works from site records to ensure works have been completed to client instructions and contract specifications. Preparation and submission of job costs in line with the contract schedule of rates within both capital works projects and measured term contracts. Monitoring and management of internal KPIs ensuring all targets are achieved and maintained. Preparation and presentation of work in progress and cost value reconciliation reports. Working in accordance with strict client KPIs particularly time, cost and quality. Building strong client and supply chain relationships by working in a collaborative manner with good communication channels, ensuring resolutions, repeat business and service. Estimating and preparation of tenders. Complying with all health and safety rules and protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and others. Undertaking training and attending meetings as required for proper performance of duties. Providing support and mentoring of junior staff. Education / Experience – Essential Criteria BSc (Hons), HND, BTEC or relevant qualification or equivalent experience. Experience in a similar role. Experience of M3, PSA or similar schedule of rates. Experience of MTC contracts or detailed measurement. Commercially and operationally aware of delivery of works. Education / Experience – Desirable Criteria Experience of NEC suite of contracts. Experience of social housing contracts. Experience in commercial delivery of small to medium electrical projects. Experience in review and approval of subcontractor payments. Knowledge and understanding of subcontractor management. Skills / Competencies Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines. Enthusiastic and result driven with excellent attention to detail. Strong planning and organisation skills with good problem‑solving ability. IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
