The Facilities Operational Supervisor is responsible for the day to day management, allocation and supervision of a large team of Housekeeping, Portering, and Catering Operatives, including any other staffing group that forms part of the Patient Environment service provision, i.e. front of house receptions, undertaking tasks associated with the provision of patient catering, cleaning, and portering. Ensuring that staff are safely allocated in accordance with the agreed roster and team members carry out their duties, in accordance with laid down relevant procedures, Trust policies and that standards are regularly monitored, so that patient environment services are maintained to a high level standard of service and quality. The post holder will ensure patient movement and flow, across various clinical service units, are maintained to support safe patient care.
To ensure compliance and staff are working to Infection Prevention & Control guidance, Trust strategies for patient catering, cleaning, & portering, including legislative requirements for food safety, national patient environment standards and to deliver safe baseline and mandated NHS England cleaning standards.
