To work with the pre-registration education team to provide great placements for students and pre-registration apprentices to learn. We want each student to enjoy their learning, to be acquiring professional competence and values to deliver excellent patient care. We aim for each pre-registration student to be proud to train and start their professional careers at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

The learning environment facilitator works with the learning environment lead to monitor the standards and quality of the clinical learning environment. The role is dependent on effective operational relationships with practice learning managers, teams and programme providers (universities). The role requires the ability to lead on education audits and student evaluations / practice learners’ experience and to manage and support results to quality assure safe and effective learning environments.
- Enable and empower the development and support of pre-registration learners.
- Work in partnership with Health Education England Thames Valley (HEE-TV) and our education partners to innovate the quality of pre-registration learners
- Actively support Education Links to develop resources to enable students to be “fit for practice” at point of registration.
- Provide clinical training and support through simulation sessions, student seminars and skills training.
- Support and participate in the development of Trust practice learning teams, through participation by updates, coaching and working with learners in resolution of complex practice concerns.
- Capture the students’ experience of placement use this knowledge to make the placement better equipped for future learners.
- Work in collaboration with the Learning Environment Lead to build student placement

capacity across the trust and to facilitate the opportunity to employ our Trust trained students.
