The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is going through an exciting period of change and rapid growth and there could not be a better time to join them and as a Senior Agile Delivery Manager (known as a Senior Service Delivery Manager)where you will play a pivotal role in supporting NICE achieve its ambitions to be an organisation as brilliant as the people in it, underpinned by digital services which are built collaboratively with trusted data.

**Main Duties**

As Senior Agile Delivery Manager you will lead one or more agile projects along with a managing a portfolio of live digital services. To achieve this you will be the focal point for a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled digital team where you will need tocreate and maintain a healthy environment for the team to excel and ensure they continue to deliver at a sustainable pace.

You'll be adept at delivering complex digital projects and breaking down barriers for your team. You will be involved in strategic planning and road-mapping of the services and products within your portfolio to achieve agreed outcomes, as well as gettinginto the detail to make things happen when needed.

The post holder must be passionate about agile processes and keen to be an advocate for them throughout NICE, seeking opportunities to influence how they can be used to support delivery of the organisation's five-year strategy.

**About them**

The Senior Agile Delivery Manager role sits within the Strategy and Governance function of the Digital, Information and Technology (DIT) directorate which takes a lead role in portfolio negotiation with the business against their priorities and transformationagenda along with taking accountability for the delivery of the prioritised pipeline of investments, including its Digital Workplace platform.

As well as being responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining over 30 NICE digital services which includes the NICE website the DIT directorate also monitors, maintains and secures NICE's IT infrastructure and supports NICE colleagues via a centralisedhelpdesk.

**Education / Qualifications**

Essential:

- Certified Agile qualification or good knowledge and experience of agile project/implementation practices, tools & techniques

**Experience**

Essential:

- Proven experience in delivering high quality digital projects and products that meet users' needs and intended outcomes
- Experience in matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams

**Skills and Knowledge**

Essential:

- Extensive knowledge of digital industry standards and processes for successfully planning and managing the delivery of digitally enabled systems and services
- Extensive client-facing / stakeholder management experience including clients, stakeholders and contractors
- Liaising with senior stakeholders to define value and a user-driven roadmap for the portfolio of services and working with the delivery team to translate this into actionable user stories and sprint plans
