**MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE**

To achieve set performance and financial objectives and maximum profitability through the sale of vehicles, associated products, parts, labour, rental and bodyshop repair_. _To ensure efficiency of all departments and staff, controlling cashflow, stocks, and assets at a level commensurate with profit requirements, producing a satisfactory return on investment. To safeguard the Company’s assets. To Work effectively within the dealership team to ensure industry leading standards of customer care and satisfaction are achieved and maintained at all times.

**JOB PROFILE & KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**

**Budget Management**

Set financial and growth objectives for each dealership department as agreed with Managing Director, and ensure managers plan accordingly to meet profit and product targets. Ensure managers control stock levels and keep debtors to a minimum. All expenditure is monitored and kept within budgetary parameters.

**Operating Controls and Systems Administration**

Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all dealership administration and operational data always complying with dealership/manufacturer reporting policies. Achieve all Manufacturer and Drayton Motors standards, dealership objectives, system administration and operate within the law always.

**Planning and Marketing**

Develop, in conjunction with Manufacturer, Group Marketing Manager, Operations and Managing Director. Overall marketing and publicity strategy to promote all products and services effectively within the dealerships area of responsibility. Plan and manage time carefully to ensure all tasks are achieved. Work with line managers to identify potential customer locations and effectively implement the group approved prospecting system to maintain regular and professional customer contact.

**Policies and Practices**

Achieve a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. Brief managers with individual departmental business objectives and ensure all manufacturer, employment, environmental and Health & Safety policies, and practices are strictly adhered to.

**Communication**

Ensure regular feedback to all staff on dealership, departmental and individual performance achievements. Maintain regular dialogue with all Manufacturers, suppliers, external representatives, and other members of the RJTK/Drayton Motors Management team.

**People Management**

Ensure the systematic recruitment, induction, and performance management of all dealerships employees and aim to minimise staff turnover by leading a motivated, productive, and rewarded team. Ensure department managers coach and develop the job-related skills of their team through regular and measured training activities. Seek expert advice with all employment issues to ensure compliance with employment law.

**Personal Criteria**

Remain professional, calm, and positive at all times. Ensure personal appearance is consistently of a high standard. Assess own performance and effectiveness and undertake personal development activities. Lead by example at all times.
