**Financial Accountant - £45,000 - £55,000 DOE + Benefits - Remote working / Hybrid**

**The Role
Are you a qualified Accountant looking for the next step in your career? Do you possess strong analytical skills coupled with Microsoft office knowledge?

MGS is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant for our European region. We're seeking for a person who can establish genuine connections with stakeholders across the European subsidiaries and who is approachable and seen as a team player.

You will need to have knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), have the ability to work independently with little direction, be a true team member, and have a genuine drive to streamline and enhance processes. You'll also need tobe able to manage your time independently, evaluate risks, and think analytically.

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Financial Accountantare, but are not limited to:

- You will have full oversight of entity month-end close activities and reporting, including reviewing month-end activities prepared by the finance team.
- Record and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with IFRS.
- Complete monthly P&L and balance sheet analytical reviews with commentary, trend analysis on revenue & close review with FP&A & other key stakeholders (particularly Sales and Technology stakeholders on KPI performance).
- Preparation of consolidated forecasts and annual budget, including an explanation of variances.
- Oversight of Treasury management, FX management & cashflow forecasting.
- Assist the Finance Director in completion of Board reporting; typically, through Budget v Actual analysis supported by operational and financial KPIs.
- Develop a deep understanding of Oracle Cloud (Netsuite) - creating insight reporting out to the business unit leaders.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual analytics to support accounting assumptions and approach.
- Act as primary contact for the external audit team and completion of the statutory financial statements and ensuring we meet our regulatory and statutory obligations.
- Support various projects with ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions, including opportunities to be involved in projects outside of Europe.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Financial Accountantare:

- Legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CA) with 2 years PQE.
- Ideally with external audit background.
- Technical knowledge of IFRS is desirable.
- Proficient MS Office 365 skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- A commercial mind-set able to provide analytical review to the numbers and internal leadership stakeholders.
