Ibk are helping a family to recruit a PA to join their team of PA's who support their adult daughter in day to day life. Their daughter has Down Syndrome and a visual impairment.
This easy going lady gets along with everyone she meets. She will often say 'I'm no trouble' to her sister Her PA's help her through the day and make her warm drinks (hot chocolate is her favourite) and meals such as a sandwich at lunchtime and an evening meals of something like fish and potatoes. She enjoys looking through magazines, playing cards and baking
This lovely lady also likes spending time outdoors in her wheelchair and will happily go to the local park with her PA's to get some fresh air.
This lady needs help with her personal care.
**Hours;**
**Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday**:
**11.00am to 5.00pm or 12.30 to 5.30pm**
**Saturday**:
**12.00pm to 5.00pm**
**Alternate Sundays**:
**11.00am to 5.00pm**
Also, flexible to cover holiday and sickness where possible.
Days and times are flexible for the right person and the post could be split between 2 PA's
**Person Specification**:
**Essential**
- The family would like someone who has experience working in the care sector.
- Be friendly, reliable, honest; and maintain confidentiality.
- Be respectful in the family home
- Have a genuine desire to enhance the person’s life.
- Be kind and patient and enjoy making someone happy
- A good sense of humour.
**Desirable**
- Experience and understanding of communication difficulties
- You may have interests, hobbies and skills you could share with the lady
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 17-22 per week
**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
